Online casinos on the way for the USA

2017-07-07 06:37:40

New Jersey became the first state in the US to legalise online betting back in 2013 and since then, no other states have followed suit. However, this looks like it might be about to change in the near future with the forming of the iDevelopment and Economic Association (iDEA). This has come together in the hope of boosting America’s online casino industry and aiming to represent the industry as a whole. This is the first time that a trade association has stood by the companies and websites which offer online betting services and the iDEA will hope to inject some momentum and enthusiasm into the online casino industry in the US.

Many companies and operators are reported to be joining forces with the iDEA including Paddy Power, PaySafe, Pala Interactive and Resorts, just to name a few. The iDEA’s aim is to support all games and services offered by online casino operators, such as sports betting, lotteries, online poker and bingo games.

New Jersey’s online casino success leads by example

New Jersey’s online casino and betting industry is estimated to produce $20 million per month and has been a major success since its legalisation. The online casino industry here has also helped to generate revenue across many Atlantic City casinos and New Jersey. From its launch in 2013 to 2016, the industry in New Jersey has generated approximately $998.3 million in output, created 3374 jobs and produced $124.4 million in tax revenue.
