Celtic aiming to become cream of the Scottish crop once again

Fans of Rangers FC may want to look away now. Following their recent defeat to Luxembourg minnows, Progres Niederkorn this week in the Europa League, Paddy Power think that before a ball is kicked in the Scottish Premier League that Celtic will once again be getting their hands on the trophy. Celtic went the whole of the 2016/2017 season without losing a league game. They are currently managed by Northern Irish man, Brendan Rodgers and Paddy Power obviously clearly fancy him to steer Celtic to another easy league victory next season. Following their Glasgow rivals’ unexpected early knockout in the Europa League, Paddy Power took to social media to tweet: “Sod it – we’re paying out on Celtic winning next season’s Scottish Premiership title. #YouBeauty”. This might prove to be extra motivation for their Scottish counterparts, will Paddy Power end up with egg on their faces?

Remember their cheeky Wimbledon message to Andy Murray?

In typical Paddy Power fashion, the Irish bookmakers offered a cheeky good luck message to the British tennis star as Wimbledon kicked off a few weeks back. The iconic Cerne Abbas Giant, which is recognised as a symbol of fertility in England, was sporting seasonal accessories for the tennis action, thanks to the Paddy Power team. The world famous chalk figure landmark in Dorset is usually seen holding a giant club but Paddy Power had adorned it with a tennis racket while tossing a ball, showing his great support for the Scottish player, Andy Murray. The famous landmark, which is often dubbed as “The Rude Giant”, attracts thousands of visitors each year and dates back to the 17th Century.
