Special Features

The first thing that you will notice when you play this slot is that it looks very similar to the original Da Vinci Diamonds game as it features symbols such as Mona Lisa, Madonna, and a bunch of different coloured gem stones. The highest paying symbol in the game is the Da Vinci Diamond symbol as if you land 5 of these symbols on a winning payline then you will win a nice payout worth 125X your original wager. The Wild symbol is illustrated by an ornate gold frame with the word ‘Wild’ displayed inside. Like most Wild symbols, its main function is to replace all other symbols apart from the Bonus symbol.

Just like the original Da Vinci Diamonds, this game also features Tumbling Reels where winning symbols disappear from the reels as symbols tumble from above. This is a nifty feature as it allows players to win again and again provided that they keep on forming winning combinations on the reels.

Hit 2 matching stacks of the Da Vinci, Madonna, or Mona Lisa symbols and they will proceed to transform into a Giant 2x2 Portrait symbol. If this symbol is then part of a winning payline then you will be awarded a 2X, 3X, or 4X multiplier. If you are lucky to land more than one Giant Portrait symbol then your win will be multiplied by the product of the Giant Portrait multipliers. These symbols may also be created when 4 identical Portrait symbols align on adjacent reels. Sometimes a non-winning Giant Portrait symbol may change into a different Giant Portrait to help you land a win on the reels. This is known as the Mystery Portrait feature and occurs randomly while in the main game.

The Bonus symbol is denoted by an image of the word ‘Bonus’ surrounded by an intricate gold design with purple and pink gems. Land 3 of these symbols on reels 1, 2, and 3 and you will activate the Masterworks Gallery Picker bonus game. In this feature, you will be awarded 6 Free Spins and get to choose one of the following portraits for an extra Free Spins bonus:

The music features a reworked orchestral soundtrack with lots of soft flute sounds used. It ties in perfectly with the Renaissance theme of the game.

Our Verdict on Da Vinci Diamonds Masterworks

Da Vinci Diamonds Masterworks is produced by IGT and we are happy to report is an excellent improvement on the classic Da Vinci Diamonds slot. It’s super easy to play, features amazing visuals, and is jam-packed with a superb and wide range of bonus features to ensure players stay in the Renaissance period for as long as possible! Tumbling Reels help you keep on winning while the Giant Portrait symbols offer nice multiplier boosts when they appear on the reels. The most lucrative feature is, of course, the Free Spins feature as you can land boosted multipliers as high as 6X or lucrative Gigantic 2x2 Wilds on the reels. We recommend players choose the Lady on Green option when you trigger the Free Spins feature as it offers medium wins and is the perfect balance between high and low variance. The only downside to this feature is that it can take quite a few spins to trigger Free Spins so patience is definitely a virtue here!
